PAFP utilizes SpeakOut, an online advocacy tool created by the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), to distribute Advocacy Alerts to members as needed.

The Pennsylvania page on SpeakOut offers family physicians information on what's going on in Harrisburg and Washington, as well as listings of federal, state and local officials and how to reach them on important issues.

Once notified by email about an action alert, PAFP members are urged to send messages to the appropriate elected officials. They can use the letter template already written by PAFP team members or create their own message.

In addition, SpeakOut provides users with a detailed listing of media outlets in the Commonwealth.
