YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION
As a state chapter of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), the Pennsylvania Academy of Family Physicians and the PAFP Foundation (herein referred to as PAFP) abide by the rules set by the AAFP, which limit access by outside parties to information about members. http://www.aafp.org/privacy.xml
The online PAFP member database is accessible only by other PAFP members who have "signed in" using a username and their AAFP Member ID number. This information is available only in small amounts (i.e. by city or county) to further limit access.
The PAFP shares member mailing addresses with local chapters. Local chapters who wish to send members email messages must do so through the PAFP.
The PAFP shares member updates to any and all contact information with the AAFP.
The PAFP may share member mailing addresses with third parties offering CME, products or services of interest to members (i.e. DOH, other medical organizations, project partners like the American Cancer Society). The PAFP does not market mailing lists. We make lists available for purchase only to reputable organizations and only when asked.
The PAFP never shares telephone numbers, fax numbers or email addresses with outside parties.
Event registration information, including credit card numbers, are never stored online (see "website" for specifics on collection). Online, faxed and mailed registration forms which include payment information are physically handled by only two PAFP team members members and then destroyed upon payment. The PAFP never keeps electronic records of credit card numbers.
The PAFP may collect in the future specific professional data (i.e. subspecialty interests, research initiatives) to provide members with topic-specific networking experiences.
The PAFP currently uses third parties for online services such as listserves and surveys. The PAFP may in the future contract with additional companies for other services. We work with reputable companies whose respect for privacy reflects that of the AAFP and PAFP, because PAFP members and others who participate or use those services are subject to the privacy policies of those companies. Current online service providers:
SurveyMonkey.com - http://www.surveymonkey.com
Yahoo Groups - http://privacy.yahoo.com/privacy/us/
The PAFP may release personal information to third parties in order to comply with valid legal requirements such as a law, regulation, search warrant, subpoena or court order. The PAFP will notify you of such a disclosure unless doing so would violate the law or court order.

The PAFP PAC is required by Pennsylvania law to report your name, complete address, phone number, occupation, employer, and employer address for every donation over $50. This is considered public information.
