WHAT IS THE PAFP?
The Pennsylvania Academy of Family Physicians and its Foundation are dedicated to advancing quality health care through advocacy, education, workforce development, and commitment to the patients we serve. For more than 70 years and with nearly 6,000 physician, resident and student members, the physician-led Academy and its Foundation’s core values are visionary leadership, integrity, and community. The Pennsylvania Academy of Family Physicians is a 501(c)(6) organization. The Pennsylvania Academy of Family Physician Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization.

PAFP STATEMENT ON RACISM, DISCRIMINATION AND HEALTH IN ALL POLICIES
The Pennsylvania Academy of Family Physicians strongly believes in health equity for all regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, or socioeconomic status. We condemn systemic racism and all forms of social injustice. We consider racism a public health crisis and stand against all forms of racism, discrimination, and bias in our institutions, communities, and society. The Academy encourages state agencies to adopt a CDC model Health in All Policies strategy to address social determinants of health and health disparities in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
