Incoming Governor Prepares to Take Office
|

Tom Wolf doesn’t get sworn in as Pennsylvania’s 47th governor until Jan. 20, but in the meantime, he has assembled leaders of his transition teams and announced several key appointments to staff his office. The governor-elect has also indicated that he intends to bring full Medicaid expansion to Pennsylvania, just as Gov. Tom Corbett’s Healthy PA hybrid plan began enrolling applicants on Dec. 1, with the program set to launch Jan. 1.

Receive $19.33 per patient for cessation counseling. The code only applies to MA patients, and you must be enrolled in MA and the registry. Be Prepared for Meaningful Use in 2015 |
Start 2015 off well-prepared to meet all the criteria for Meaningful Use (MU) with these helpful reminders:
• Providers must use 2014 Edition certified EHR technology (CEHRT) for 2015.
• All Medicare eligible providers, except those in their first year of demonstrating MU reporting, are required to have a full year reporting period, no matter what stage of Meaningful Use you are in.
• Eligible providers who are not successful Meaningful Users in 2015 will be subject to a 3 percent payment adjustment to their Medicare physician fee schedule (PFS) in 2017.
