Pennsylvania is home to 50 family medicine residency programs, a pipeline which ensures that all Pennsylvanians in every community across the commonwealth have access to care. The PAFP's collaboration with the Pennsylvania Department of Health is a critical component of this pipeline: by investing in family medicine residency programs, Pennsylvania is directly meeting the health care needs of its citizens.
