PAFP Offering DOT Medical Examiner Training

DOT Medical Examiner AUDIO Training - PURCHASE HERE

DOT Training is available for 6.5 hours of CME Patient Safety Credits.

The National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners, a new Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) program, requires all medical examiners who wish to perform physical examinations for interstate commercial motor vehicle (CMV) drivers to be trained and certified in FMCSA physical quality standards by May 21, 2014. Medical examiners must complete accredited certification training and pass an examination.

The PAFP Foundation is offering live audio training: Purchase the audio version and receive the recorded training that you can listen to and follow along with the handouts. The embedded player allows for play across all Internet-enabled devices and continuous listening is not required. After listening to the six hours of training, complete the post-test to receive your certificate of training needed to sit for the exam. (An Internet Connection is required to listen to the audio training session)

*The DOT Medical Examiner audio training has been reviewed and accepted for up to 6.50 Prescribed credits by the AAFP.

Please also see the PAFP DOT Medical Examiner Informational Booklet below, to help you fully understand what is required of medical examiners to be certified.
