PAFP launches Pain Management and Opioid Misuse Resource Center
The Pain Management and Opioid Misuse Resource Center is live online as the PAFP continues to address the opioid crisis through information and education for its members. It includes a multitude of state and national facts, tools, and educational webcasts, created at the direction of the PAFP Task Force on the Opioid Crisis chaired by PAFP Board of Directors member D. Scott McCracken, MD. “The PAFP is committed to being a leader in addressing the interwoven public health issues of pain management and the overdose crisis,” said PAFP President David O’Gurek, MD. The Center’s release coincides with the state’s one-year anniversary of Gov. Wolf’s heroin and opioid disaster declaration.
