Election results: Dems pick up seats; caucus leadership elected
Last week, Gov. Tom Wolf handily won four more years while Democrats picked up seats in both the Senate (29-R and 21-D) and House (109-R and 93-D). This week, the four caucuses picked their leadership teams for the 2019-20 legislative session. Republican House Members have re-nominated Speaker Mike Turzai and elected Rep. Bryan Cutler as the new House Majority Leader. House Democrats re-elected Rep. Frank Dermody as their Leader. Senate Republicans have re-elected Sen. Joe Scarnati President Pro Tempore, and Sen. Jake Corman Majority Leader. Senate Democrats re-elected Sen. Jay Costa as their Leader.

What are Pa. patients treating with medical marijuana?
Chronic pain tops the list of conditions that Pennsylvania patients are using medical marijuana to treat. According to Philly.com, an informal survey has found up to 70 percent of patients are using the treatment for pain. Other common conditions include epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, and autism, with dispensary officials claiming anecdotal evidence of success.
