Pa. legislature wrapping up for summer
Ahead of schedule, the Pennsylvania General Assembly and Gov. Tom Wolf came to terms on several education and school safety issues and passed a state budget. On Monday, the House finished session days recessing at the “call of the chair” and members leaving town; the Senate remains “at ease” to the call of the President Pro Tempore possibly returning for votes before June ends. Barring any unforeseen circumstance, both chambers will not return until mid-September. The PAFP will continue advocacy on our agenda and reminds members summer is a good time to meet with your local Representative or Senator.

Attention program directors: Special registration pricing available for residents
Take advantage of special group pricing for residents to attend the PAFP’s Second Annual Procedures and Clinical Dermatology event Sept. 6-7 in State College. Program directors received instructions last week on how to receive half price registration for every third resident who registers for this excellent program. Contact Janine Owen or Lindsey Killian with any questions.
Our “Question of the Month” will be taking a vacation for July and will return in August. If you have an education question or comment, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your PAFP education team.
