Pa. headed toward back half of 2017-18 legislative session
The Pennsylvania House and Senate return Monday, June 4 for what is traditionally the busiest month in our state legislature. With a budget due by the end of June and Election Day just five months away, the PAFP will be pushing its legislative agenda with state legislators and the Wolf administration.

More than 250 died in Pa. during record flu season
The flu virus claimed 256 lives in Pennsylvania during a record flu season that saw more than 121,300 reported cases of the illness. According to PennLive, 50,000 more cases were reported this season than in the 2016-17 flu season. The 256 deaths are the highest on record, the number includes six pediatric deaths. Most of the cases reported were of the H3N2 strain of influenza type A.
