CRNP independence movement renews effort in Pa.
|
|
State Sen. Camera Bartolotta (R-Washington) and Rep. Jess Topper (R-Bedford) are circulating co-sponsorship memos for legislation that would eliminate collaborative agreements between physicians and certified registered nurse practitioners (CRNPs). Both intend to introduce copies of the final Senate version from last session that would allow for independent licensure after three years and 3,600 hours of physician collaboration. Last session, the Senate passed this version while the House did not. The PAFP and all other state physician associations oppose.
