Flurry of activity as 2015-16 session nears end
|

With only three days remaining next week, several bills made significant movement this week. Senate Bill 1202 (Sen. Gene Yaw) would mandate provider CME on pain management; House Bill 1699 (Rep. Rosemary Brown) would limit dispensing of opioids in emergency departments and urgent care centers; and House Bill 516 (Rep. Mark Mustio) would regulate and title naturopathic providers with certain educational and national board certification.

FDA approves quadrivalent flu vaccine for 2017-18 season
|
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved Flublok, a new version of the influenza vaccine which protects against four strains, for the 2017-2018 flu season, reports Medscape. Support child and adult victims of domestic violence

The PAFP is proud to support Women's Resources of Monroe County through a new community outreach program in conjunction with its Kalahari CME Conference. Women's Resources of Monroe County is a community-based crisis center which helps child and adult victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. The PAFP will be collecting donations for needed items like body wash, paper towels, and toothpaste at the Kalahari CME Conference; donations can also be made online.
