Nurse practitioners lobby for independence
|
|
On Tuesday May 3, nurse practitioners (NPs) from across the state, joined by the AARP and the Commonwealth Foundation, traveled to Harrisburg to advocate for legislation that would end collaborative agreements. Senate Bill (SB) 717 and House Bill (HB) 765 would grant NPs full practice authority and "better enable these healthcare professionals to provide primary and specialized care to thousands of residents, especially those living in rural and underserved communities." The PAFP opposes SB 717 and HB 765.
