PAFP advocacy efforts focused on member concerns
In 2015, you and most members of the PAFP completed a member survey on a wide array of questions on education, practice settings, and government affairs. Among items topping your advocacy concerns were scope of practice, credentialing, prior authorizations, and access to care. Through our Legal and Government Affairs Commission and Board of Directors, the PAFP has long opposed nurse practitioner independence; newly supports legislation to streamline credentialing; will review impending legislation on prior authorization; and is committed to public policies ensuring Pennsylvanians have access to the health care services they need. Thank you for your guidance!

Many of your patients are likely still digging out, so make sure they stay safe: according to the Washington Post, other doctors recommend taking breaks, pushing and not lifting, and avoiding alcohol before shoveling.
