The How-To on Strategic Planning Processes
|
We know planning is crucial to any organization’s success – but how should you do it? First, determine where your organization is currently – not what you perceive, but what is objectively true. This consists of conducting reviews of the marketplace, the competitive environment, and your organization’s competencies. Identify what matters to your organization. This directs your organization’s vision and mission, allowing you to define the objectives your organization needs to achieve. Determine accountability through action planning and budgeting, allocating time, human resources, and money to address objectives while having regularly scheduled formal reviews, refining the process as needed.
