Unprecedented Vote on SGR Pending in Congress
|
|
Later this week, the U.S. House of Representatives will vote on repealing the Sustainable Growth Rate (SGR) formula before it cuts Medicare physician payments by 21 percent on March 31. This is not a short-term fix. The Medicare and CHIP Reauthorization Act, House Resolution 2, is an unprecedented opportunity to finally repeal the SGR in a bipartisan way. Please take a moment and tell your congressional representative to repeal the SGR once and for all through the AAFP’s Speak Out email advocacy system.
