AAFP's FUTURE 2025 is the single largest event for medical students and residents in family medicine in the country! It brings the chance to engage with like-minded students, residents and faculty in family medicine and explore everything from advocacy to POCUS, from sports medicine to social determinants of health. Find what makes each residency program unique and discover what you’re looking for in residency. Learn how family medicine lets you be YOU!
No matter where you are in medical school — from your first year through your fourth — FUTURE has great content to help fuel you through it all. Learning opportunities in workshops, inspiration from the Main Stage, networking, leadership development, exploring diverse careers in family medicine and residency programs — it's all here under one roof in the Kansas City Convention Center. Make connections to Member Interest Groups, emerging practice models, leadership and advocacy opportunities, and contacts in your area.
Make it happen for YOU!
Important Details for Applicants
PAFP encourages students to apply for scholarships from both AAFP and PAFP. PAFP is limited in the number of scholarships we can support, so applying also to AAFP will maximize your chances of a scholarship. If offered both AAFP and PAFP scholarships, you must choose one; you cannot receive more than one scholarship. Scholarships will be distributed in person at FUTURE 2025. You must pick up your scholarship check on site; details will be provided to awardees ahead of the conference.
Scholarships provided by the PAFP may be considered taxable
income by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), depending on your individual
circumstances. We encourage you to consult with a tax advisor or
financial professional to understand how this may affect your specific tax
situation. PAFP Scholarships are not reimbursements; awardees will not be asked to submit receipts.
